BUTTER RIOT is a next-gen punk rock band from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, formed in 2020. Born in 2004, the members channel youthful energy and an “undefined” attitude into music that captures the confusion and hope of their generation. For them, punk isn’t just a genre—it’s a response to reality.

Their sound blends the melodic heart of J-Punk with the raw power of Western rock, heavily influenced by bands such as ELLEGARDEN, Green Day, X JAPAN, and Guns N’ Roses. They emphasize straightforward melodies and explosive performance styles while maintaining emotional depth.
